From Whippets and Borzois to Galgos and Greyhounds, sighthounds have long captured our hearts — elegant, soulful, and endlessly loyal.
Love at First Sight(hound) is a fine-art philanthropic book project created to celebrate these extraordinary dogs and the humans who cherish them.
This project was born from my deep admiration for their elegance, spirit, and the quiet way they love.
Each participant’s session helps make a difference: $95 from every registration is donated directly to SAGE (Save a Galgo Español), whose mission is to rescue and rehome Spain’s abandoned hunting dogs.
Your experience not only celebrates your own hound, but also brings hope and healing to others still waiting for their chance at love.

Each participant enjoys a calm, guided portrait experience that honors their hound’s unique presence and the bond you share.
Alongside the imagery, each hound’s story is brought to life through a carefully crafted love letter shaped from our conversation — a heartfelt tribute that becomes part of a book celebrating connection and compassion.

Limited Edition Session — $95
A beautiful, accessible way to honor your hound and be part of the book.
- Includes a brief planning questionnaire, followed by a warm conversation about your hound, from which I carefully craft a handwritten love letter for their page in Love at First Sight(hound)
- A relaxed 30-minute portrait session of your hound
- One expressive image from your session is guaranteed to appear in the book
- 100% of your $95 participation fee is donated to SAGE (Save a Galgo Español)
Extended Signature Session — $195
Perfect for celebrating two hounds or creating a fuller portrait story.
- Includes everything in the Limited Edition Session
- Ideal for households with up to two sighthounds
- Extra time for more variety, details, and expressive moments
- Includes a $100 artwork credit toward optional wall art, albums, or folio boxes
- $95 of your session fee is donated to SAGE (Save a Galgo Español)
While purchasing artwork is never required, many participants fall in love with their images and choose to create a piece of custom artwork for their home. I’ll guide you through the options during your viewing appointment so you can decide what feels right for you.

📍 Locations: Primarily outdoor settings across Southern California. Limited travel or studio options may be available depending on interest and availability.
☀️ Best Light: Golden hour — early morning just after sunrise or early evening just before sunset for the most expressive, fine-art portraits.

About SAGE
SAGE (Save a Galgo Español) rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes Galgos and Podencos in need — gentle, noble hounds who deserve safety, care, and love.
By participating in Love at First Sight(hound), you help fund the medical treatment, transport, and foster support that make these second chances possible. Your tribute to your own hound directly helps another begin their journey home.

How are dogs selected for the book?
Each application is personally reviewed to ensure a beautiful mix of breeds, stories, and personalities. My goal is to feature up to 36 sighthounds, representing as many breeds and backgrounds as possible.
If multiple applicants apply for the same breed, I’ll create a short waitlist in case additional spots open. Every application is thoughtfully considered.
What’s included in the participation fee?
Your participation fee includes your fine-art portrait session, your dog’s guaranteed feature in the Love at First Sight(hound) book, and — for Extended Signature Sessions — a $100 artwork credit to use toward heirloom wall art, albums, or folio boxes.

Please note: The participation fee does not include digital files, printed artwork, or a copy of the finished book. These may be purchased separately after your session.
Where and when do sessions take place?
Sessions will be held between December 2025 and Spring 2026 at scenic outdoor locations across Southern California, scheduled to make the most of beautiful, natural light.
A small number of travel sessions or studio sessions may be available depending on interest and availability. Additional travel or studio costs may apply.
