Because Life is Better With Fur on Your Clothes

Hi, I’m Kelly. I create photographs that celebrate the love you share with your pet — whether that’s portraits of them being their glorious selves, photos of you together, or images that let your furry sidekick help you shine in your business brand.

Celebrating your pet

Some people hang art on their walls. Personally, I think the best art has four legs and a personality that fills the room.

If your dog (or horse) is basically the love of your life, you’re in the right place.

A session just for them is a way of saying, “Yes, you are family. Yes, you deserve to be celebrated just as you are.”

I’ll capture the quirks, the sparkle in their eyes, the way they tilt their head when you say "treat" — all the little things that make your best friend so completely and utterly them.

You and your pet together

There’s this magic thing pets do: they bring out our real selves. The cuddly side, the goofy side, the side that doesn’t care if there’s dog hair in the shot (because, let’s be honest, there always is).

In these sessions, I focus on capturing the in-between moments — the look they give you, the way you laugh when they barrel into your lap, the calm when they curl up against you.

It’s not about posing perfectly; it’s about the connection you’ll treasure every time you see the photo on your wall.

Pets in your brand

Now let’s talk business. Getting noticed online is hard — but having a ridiculously photogenic sidekick helps.

When we bring your pet into your brand shoot, suddenly your content is not only eye-catching but also deeply you. Your audience sees your professional side and your personality, wrapped up in one irresistible package (with a wagging tail or flowing mane).

And the best part? Your pet becomes your brand’s secret weapon for connection. People may come for the service you offer, but they’ll stay because you showed them something real.

Why Choose One?

Here’s the thing: you don’t actually have to choose. Most of my clients come in wanting “just a few shots of the dog” or "just one of me riding my horse into the sunset" and before you know it, we’re creating a whole collection — portraits of them, of you together, and images for your business too. The session is designed to flow naturally, so you can have it all without feeling rushed. And honestly, why not? Your beloved pet has many roles in your life; let’s honor them all.

STEP 01

Planning appointment

When you're ready to book your session, we’ll have a friendly chat about your pet, your vision, and how you want to enjoy your artwork, whether that's in your home or as part of your brand strategy.

This is where we dream big together.

STEP 02

the session

Relax and enjoy — I’ll guide the process, keep things fun, and let your pet’s true personality shine. Whether it’s zoomies, snuggles, or quiet moments, we’ll capture it all.

STEP 03

Reveal & design appointment

You’ll see your images for the first time and we’ll design custom heARTwork — wall art, albums, or custom folio boxes — tailored to your space and your story, or brand assets tailored to your business needs.  (Or maybe both!)

STEP 04

DeliverY DAY

Your finished heARTwork is hand-delivered with care, ready to hang, hold, and love for years to come. It’s more than photography — it’s your pet’s legacy.

Frequently asked questions

Because curious minds deserve answers — and wagging tails deserve reassurance!

“What if my pet doesn’t behave?”

That’s part of the fun! I work with all kinds of personalities — shy, wiggly, stubborn, you name it. With patience (and plenty of treats), I capture their true spirit. No obedience school diploma required.

“Do you photograph rescues or senior pets?”

Yes, and they hold a special place in my heart. Every stage of life — from puppy zoomies to gray-muzzled wisdom — deserves to be honored in artwork.

“Can I (or my family) be in the photos too?”

Absolutely. Whether you want to step in for a few heartfelt shots or make it a full family session, we’ll celebrate the bond you share together.

“What does the session fee include?”

Your session fee covers the time and talent to create your images, plus a reveal & design appointment where you’ll choose your favorite moments. Artwork and albums are purchased separately so you can select exactly what you love.

Meet the Photographer

Hey, my name is Kelly McNamara. But you can call me Kelly Mac.

Before I was a photographer, I was a lawyer. Which means two things: I have an eye for detail, and yes, I can keep calm in almost any situation (including when your Labrador decides to chase a squirrel mid-shoot). But more importantly, I’ve always had a deep love for animals. I don’t just photograph them — I get them. I notice the little signals, I know when they need space, and I know how to bring out their personality without forcing it. So when you work with me, you’re not just getting pretty pictures. You’re getting an experience where you and your pet feel comfortable, cared for, and completely yourselves. And you’ll walk away with images that make you smile every time you see them.

Shannon and Rudy

-------

"My session with Rudy will forever remain one of the most special and meaningful experiences that I could have shared with him, and there is no one other than Kelly that I would have wished to share it with. Kelly is so kind, warm, and genuine, and felt like a friend right from the start. Rudy can be a little shy around new people, but he took to Kelly straight away. She brought out the best in both of us and captured such beautiful, candid moments. Our photoshoot was full of laughter, deep conversations, and even a bit of rain! But all of it felt effortless, and more importantly, authentic to how Rudy and I interact!"

Autumn & Kelly, Walter & Pearl

-------

"We had the BEST time with Kelly! Having a reactive dog out in public can be stressful on its own, then throw a photographer in the mix ... but it was so much fun! She captured our dogs and us so perfectly. We felt like we were with a friend and our nerves about how Walter would react were washed away. The keepsake box and prints and the wall art will be something we cherish forever. The quality is unmatched. I am so grateful that Kelly doesn't just do digital images. Having actual art we see every day is priceless, and the quality is so much better than we could have anticipated."

"Kelly is an absolutely amazing artist with an incredible eye for capturing beautiful moments, especially with our family and our dogs. From start to finish, she was very well-prepared and detail-oriented, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. Even though the sun decided to hide on the day of our shoot, Kelly helped us make the best of it, and the results were stunning! She was also wonderfully accommodating with our reactive dog, ensuring everyone felt comfortable and at ease. The final portraits turned out better than we could have imagined. She was able to capture our two dogs' unique personalities perfectly. Kelly guided us through choosing the perfect art pieces for our home and our local business."

"We had the absolute best experience with Kelly Mac Studios! Kelly was incredibly patient, kind, and so talented at capturing the unique personalities of our dogs, Lincoln and Reagan. She made the entire session feel relaxed and fun -- not just for our pups, but for the whole family. The photos turned out beautiful and truly captured the love and joy we share. We'll treasure them forever."
